BRENTWOOD, Tenn., March 4, 2019 – The Honda Classic came down to a clutch putt on 18 for a first-time winner on the PGA TOUR. He captured the victory wearing footwear featuring Champ Zarma Tour cleats. 27 of the top 30 finishers at the Honda Classic also chose replaceable cleat technology over spikeless/tennis shoes.
“It’s very simple… winners wear cleats,” said John Hohman, senior vice president of marketing for PrideSports. “We continue to see this time and time again on all of the professional tours. The same goes for everyday golfers who care about performance.”
In addition to cleats being on the footwear of the PGA TOUR winner, they were also utilized by the top finishers of the LPGA’s HSBC Women’s World Championship in Softspikes Tornado cleats and the Asian Tour and Australasian Tour’s New Zealand Open wearing Softspikes Pivix cleats. The winner of the European Tour’s Oman Open also wore footwear featuring replaceable cleat technology.
